FAQ Webforms

What are the system requirements?

Already have a FirstSpirit 4.2R4 or a CoreMedia 2005 (or newer) content management system? Then you’ve already satisfied all of the technical requirements for Webforms! Nor does Webforms need its own database, either: all data are versioned and stored in the existing system databases.

Can Webforms be extended?

Yes, Webforms is designed for extensions so that you can add new validators or actions, for example. To tailor the design to more closely match your own specifications, you can also customize or create your own templates. Should you have more complex requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll be very happy to help you implement your ideas.

Are there any pre-authored form designs for Webforms?

To let you get up to speed quickly, we supply a preconfigured design oriented on demo cases specific to the CMS that you use. This can be adjusted easily to your chosen design with CSS and template modifications.

Can Webforms be integrated into my document model?

Since it’s based on just one document type, Webforms can be integrated smoothly into any document model without any modifications. This offers you the greatest degree of flexibility, especially for existing systems. (Relevant only for CoreMedia.)

What Webforms documentation is available?

Alongside the Developer Manual, which describes the interfaces and extension options, Webforms documentation also includes a User Manual for editing staff who work with the system.

What visualization options and reports are offered by Webforms Analytics?

  • Total form accesses (sessions)
  • Percentage of total users who left the page without interacting with the form (dropoffs)
  • Percentage of total users who successfully submitted the form (conversion rate)
  • Page with most bounces (absolute number of bounces)
  • Page with most input errors (absolute number of input errors)
  • Page with longest completion time (duration in seconds)
  • Average time spent completing the form (duration in seconds)
  • Field with most input errors (absolute number of input errors)

What Webforms editions are available?

Webforms is available in three versions.

  • Community Edition
  • Standard Edition
  • Advanced Edition

Compare the range of functions and check which edition suits you best.
